The CIHL selects its official logo
January 5, 2004

The Central Interior Hockey League has selected its official logo. Based on the results of an on-line survey of its fans logo #6 was selected. While the website survey results showed logo #7 just edging out logo #6 the final results were scrutinized by the League Executive. When the contest was launched individuals were asked to only vote once for their logo of choice (refer to the article November 24, 2004 article “ The CIHL seeks assistance from its fans on selecting a league logo”). The intent of this request was to allow the League to determine which logo had the widest appeal. Based on information collected from each vote it’s obvious that a few individuals did not heed this request, voting numerous times for the same logo. When the individual votes were tabulated the following results were found:

With 51.98% of the popular vote logo #6 was the majority choice of on-line voters, exceeding the next most popular logo, #7, by more than 14%. As a result the CIHL Executive and Team General Managers, on Wednesday January 5, 2005, approved logo #6 as the League’s official logo.

The CIHL Executive and all of it member teams would like to thank everyone that participated in this contest.
