CIHL to represent BC in the Western Championships

Bob James
Director - Sr Mens Division

The Central Interior Hockey League has been asked by Bob James, Director of the BCAHA, Senior Men’s Division, to represent British Columbia at the Western Championships in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. The tournament is slated for April 6 – 10, 2005. Senior AA Men’s Championship teams from Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan as well as the host team, Meadow Lake, will be represented at the tournament.

Due to the amount of travel and scheduling issues for many players an all-star team will be sent from the CIHL. Players from the CIHL interested in playing in the tournament are to express their interest to Bobby Love, League President, by January 30, 2005. In the event that there are too many players, a selection process will be implemented to choose those players who will be representing the CIHL.

The format of the tournament is a Modified Round Robin with each team playing two games. The playoff round would have 1 play 4 and 2 play three with a one game final on Sunday.

The CIHL would like to thank Bob James for allowing the CIHL the opportunity to represent British Columbia in the Western Championships.
