Pointstreak and the Central Interior Hockey League | |
Fans of the Central Interior Hockey League are in for a treat when teams finally hit the ice for the 2009-2010 season. After many years of manually tallied and updated league stats, (and thanks to long time volunteer Dave Turford for all his hard work over the years), the CIHL is switching to a system that will bring the league into the 21st century of league statistical record keeping.
The new Pointstreak system will allow you the fan to search and view whatever type of league statistical information you may desire. From top goal scorers, to penalty minute leaders, from best goaltender to best winning percentages. The system tracks all players from all teams, and with the click of a mouse, you can view the statistical season in review for your favourite player, or your favourite team. Pointstreak utilizes a series of user friendly linked pages that help you the fan quickly find the information you are searching for. As an example, from the League Standings page you can quickly locate your favourite team which when clicked upon will lead you to another page showing the entire roster of that particular team. From that page you can then click on your favourite player to find his season to date stats. The system also gives overall league scoring leaders and goalie leaders as well as league schedules and team standings. No longer will there be debates as to how many games a player has played during the regular season. Just search the players name and all the information is instantly available, including games played. The laborious task of perusing individual websites for particular player's information will be a thing of the past. The Central Interior Hockey League is excited about the switch to Pointstreak and we hope, you the fan, will be most pleased with the results as well. For those who may like a sneak peek of just what the Pointsteak system has to offer, why not go to the Pointstreak hockey website located at www.pointstreak.com/hockey/ and click on any league to see how the system will work for the C.I.H.L. It should be an exciting season, and having accurate timely statistical information will only augment the excitement to each and every game. League Statistician Central Interior Hockey League |
